Founded in 1999 by Rina Agriss Blair, a meeting and conference-planning executive with more than fourteen years experience in the industry, Classic Meetings, Inc. (CMI), based in Charleston, SC, provides services for meetings that range from a keynote speech for 2500 to an intimate business breakfast for 6 anywhere in the world.
CMI offers a wide variety of premium meeting planning services. Over the years we worn many hats coordinating a wide range of meetings. At times, we have been the key coordinator-- planning and executing all aspects of a meeting. At others, CMI has managed on-site to support the meeting from start to finish. While at others, we have been responsible for only a specific portion of the meeting. In any case, CMI is available to help make your incentive, event,or meeting an unparalleled success.
CMI can save the client time and money by providing services that are needed when organizations, as most are today, are overworked with an endless "to do" list. CMI brings valued hotel experience to the table as a valuable asset over the competition in most cases.
With our no fee business model, companies do not pay a fee to CMI to help negotiate and book their necessary meetings throughout the year.
CMI has formed partnerships with hotels and resort destinations around the globe. Currently we are a sales arm of Kiawah Island Resorts, Couer d’Alene Resort and Loews Ventana Canyon and the Peninsula Hotels
, the Hyatt Hotels and the Ritz-Carlton Hotels.
Having had the opportunity to learn from our work experiences in a variety of areas; we have become a focused, well organized, and proactive company. Being involved with all aspects of meeting coordination gives us an advantage to see certain angles that another more specialized company may not. Visualizing the big picture enables CMI to see what CAN actually be accomplished and then we CAN get it done.

Along with extensive backgrounds in meeting coordination, everyone at CMI has strong, broad based experience in general business management and resort management. We are also skilled in client relations, customer service, accounting/ budgets, and sales, and have patience, perseverance, and a “ whatever it takes” attitude and more.
